Regional  ‘celebrity’ Will Holland, Michelin Starred chef of Ludlow’s La Becasse, is set to become ‘National Celebrity’ tomorrow during his appearance on James Martin’s BBC show ‘Saturday Kitchen’.

Will who won his first Michelin star earlier this year, who at the age of 29 is only one of 5 UK chef’s to hold this coveted position, has been invited by James Martin to join him to take up the challenge in front of Millions of viewers live.

Presenter ‘Sweet baby James’ as James Martin is known due to his panchent for desserts, has been presenting Saturday kitchen since 2006 when he took over from Anthony Worral-Thompson. The show has 2 invited chefs, which this week alongside Will is Masterchef host John Torode, and a panel of ‘judges’ made up from two members of the public, and a TV celebrity which will be actor Neil Pearson, who will be choosing his foodie heaven, and foodie Hell dish.

Many of the UK’s top chefs have been guests on the show in recent years including The coveted ‘Roux’ brothers, Jean Christophe Novelli, Gary Rhodes, Ainsley Harriett and one of Will’s personal heroes Raymond Blanc, whom Will commented made a ‘legendary omelette’ in the omelette challenge. The ‘omelette challenge’ is a real test of cooking skills for chefs, as it is said that to cook an omelette is a ‘great leveller’  for any chef, particlualry on TV, in the quickest possible time ‘people have been asking me if I have been praticing with my omelette techniques, but I truly have n’t, perhaps to my detriment, but I am just going to go on there, try my best and have fun’. When asked what Will is cooking, he replied ‘Ah, that is my secret, you will just have to watch and see’
