Horseshoe Chef set to appear at Grand Designs Live

Following on from their appearance on the TV series, Marco Pierre White’s Kitchen Wars and landing third place at Birmingham Airport’s Hello Curry competition; The Horseshoe Bar and Restaurant will be taking part in this year’s Grand Designs Live at the NEC in October.

Head Chef, Shekhar Raturi will be demonstrating his signature dish in The Live Kitchen Experience sponsored by Miele which will showcase top chefs, restaurateurs and sommeliers cooking on the Live Cavani Kitchen by Edwin Loxley.

Grand Designs Live is one of the UK’s most popular contemporary home shows, and it will be making a welcome return to the Birmingham NEC for the 7th year running, from the 12th – 14th October 2012.

This year’s show will be split into six sections that will showcase over 500 exhibiting companies across a range of innovative and inspirational ideas for visitors, homeowners and self-builders alike.

But if you’re more of a foodie then The Live Kitchen Experience in Grand Kitchens is a must. You can try out the latest appliances and take home plenty of tips for creating your own culinary delights. You can see top chefs like Daniel Galmiche and Martin Blunos really putting the Miele appliances through their paces. Chef Shekhar will be cooking The Horseshoe’s signature dish, a Punjabi dish of Black Pepper Chicken with Kurkuri Vegetables and Mini Lacha Parantha.

Grand Designs Live is based on the hugely popular Channel 4 TV show, Grand Designs, which has gained a huge following in the UK over the last 10 years. TV broadcaster and live show host, Kevin McCloud will be at the Birmingham show meeting fans, chairing debates in the Grand Theatre and sharing his Grand Design experiences with visitors.

With over 47,000 consumers expected to visit the event over three days, Grand Designs Live Birmingham will offer visitors a great day out, 100’s of innovative ideas for the home, specialist exhibitors and FREE expert advice all under one roof – making it an invaluable and unmissable event for home lovers.
