Lovers Leap onto Horses for Valentines

Equestrian Couples – Haidee Rigby, and Ollie Fairgrieve who share their love of horses with on Polly and Orbit, with Mill Hill Farm co-owners Perkin Bosworth and Chia Richardson TBC with Wenlock Edge Inn Chef Landlord Jim Siviter

A Shropshire Horse Riding centre is appealing to singles and couples of all ages to re-kindle their love for the great outdoors, country pursuits, great food, and of course each other. The owners of Mill Farm Riding Centre, located on Wenlock Edge have listened to their regulars and put on two rides with a difference for Valentines’ week.

“We are very popular with all levels of riders” comments Perkin Bosworth, owner of Mill Farm Riding Centre “but we tend to get more ladies than men, and many of them say how much they would like to either meet someone who also enjoys the wonderful scenery we have around Wenlock Edge, or bring their current partner who is often left languishing on the sofa at home, whilst their wife or girlfriend spends an hour or so enjoying more natural views”.

To help entice the men off their TV sofas and the internet, they have devised two very special rides, in conjunction with local Chef publican Jim Siviter who manages the popular Wenlock Edge Inn. Chef Jim will be creating some special menus for singles on Saturday February 9th, so new riders can sit and chat and get to know their fellow equestrians on a friendly group table, all sharing their food, and love of the great outdoors, and maybe enjoy a ride back through the picturesque woods with a renewed Spring in their step, whilst on Saturday 16th February, just after Valentine’s Day, Jim will host a ride for couples with romantic tables for two and a special lovers menu, with a glass of fizz each.

Chef Jim Commented “Being in such a romantic location right at the Top of Wenlock Edge Inn, we find we get a lot of couples enjoying the setting, the views, and of course our locally sourced food, and real ales, we also host a number of rides organised by Mill Farm Riding Centre, we think this is the perfect opportunity for not only individuals to enjoy the great outdoors, and the great indoors, but maybe meet someone special with the shared interests of horses, countryside and of course great food and drink – It’s a very healthy combination and perfect for the New Year”

Chia Richardson, partner of Perkins commented “We can talk from experience, as I met Perkin through our love of horses. It’s great to see people sharing a love of the great outdoors, horses, and wonderfully each other”

Adding “ It would be great to have some men show they are real cowboys and get into the saddle to accompany our ladies on these wonderful rides – at worst they can experience the wonderful Wenlock Edge, great local food, and some real ales” For more information call Mill Farm Riding School 01746 785645.
