Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons Oxfordshire’s much acclaimed Executive Head Chef Gary Jones wrote the foreword and joins the likes of Shaun Hill, Andreas Antona, Andrew Nutter, Tom Kitchin amongst others. Chef Gary Commented “I am delighted to be writing the foreword for Relish Cook Book Oxfordshire & Cotswolds. British food quality has risen over the last 20 years to a point we can be proud and it is wonderful that this publication is able to champion some of our regions talented Chefs with layers of youngsters beneath that will continue to raise the standard further, their recipes, restaurants and their producers.”

Many of the acclaimed Chef’s within the book have passed through the kitchens of Le Manoir, and the guidance of Chef Gary and of course Monsieur Raymond Blanc en route to their own successes. One of these, Chef Dave watts of The Star Inn at Sparsholt, Oxfordshire who also features in the book added “We are delighted to be included in such a prestigious line up of Chefs and venues across the region – the quality of photography and production will be a fitting snap shot and guide to any passionate foodie, and become a benchmark of a very exciting time in the region for both Chefs and producers”

The launch is set to be in June at the stunning Ellenborough Park, located at the base of Cheltenham racecourse –The Three AA Rosette Beaufort Dining Room headed by Chef David Kelman will be a fitting location for this eagerly anticipated launch “ We were delighted to be invited to not only take part in the prestigious guide to the region, but also to host the launch event, with up to twenty of the regions finest Chefs all in one place, will be really daunting to host, but our team are more than capable of rising to any occasion, and we look forward to welcoming our peers to Ellenborough Park, and seeing the final copies of the book”.

Keen to profile up and coming stars the guide, alongside the six Michelin ‘stars’ featured, the book  also includes lesser known but equally acclaimed venues such as the White Hart at Fyfield – 15th Century building, housing one of the most stunning interiors of any pub in the region, the setting is breathtaking, from the soaring eaves of the great hall and minstrel’s gallery, as well as Ronnies of Thornbury, whose Chef patron Ron Faulkner has an impressive food pedigree, working with the likes of Anton Mosimann. The newly converted Wood Norton Hotel in Worcestershire with its impressive dining room and views of Evesham Valley, and is headed up by a past brigade member of Michelin Chef Glynn Purnell. Alongside these are the newly opened restaurant at Eckington Manor Cookery School who breed all their own beef cattle, and the popular Arrow Mill in Warwickshire which is a converted mill of over thousand years old.
