Bridgnorth’s Peepo Bar has been amongst local diners favourites since it opened on the High Street nearly five years ago, now expanded to employ over 25 people, it is now consistently reviewed as serving the best Breakfast in town – possibly the County, via the hundreds of positive comments on Trip Advisor, and over 2500 ‘LIKES” on their Facebook page – Whilst we are all in the grips of of election fever its the perfect place to share views on politics and policies whilst enjoying a Peepo breakfast or unlimited refill coffee, and pick top a few tips on who, or indeed who not to vote for – but diners are now enjoying some ‘tips’ of a different kind on the menus.

Shropshire’s freshest local breakfast -The ethos of Peepo’s owners has always been support local, and local suppliers have always featured heavily on their menus – which currently reads like a who’s who of Shropshire food producers – Most recently inviting local grower of fresh Asparagus, Caroline Lee of Quatt Farm (pictured with a tray of fresh asparagus), who grows and supplies high end retailers across the Country from their farm just outside Bridgnorth, who was delighted to be invited to supply Peepo “I often dine at Peepo with my young family, and have enjoyed their new breakfast, so when owner Phill Jeffrey called me to supply them with our first asparagus of the season we were delighted – We pick asparagus as soon as the sun comes up in the morning as that is when it is at its freshest, so it’s great excuse to deliver some asparagus in time for breakfast at Peepo and wake up properly with their bottomless coffee refills”

Peepo Owner Phill Jeffrey added “Asparagus is such an emotive ingredient in this Country – It’s the first shoots of Spring and you cant beat the taste and texture of fresh crisp asparagus – especially at breakfast time when your taste buds are as fresh as the asparagus itself – its the perfect accompaniment to eggs – so ideal with our English Classics such as local free range eggs and bacon or sausage – all sourced from our local award winning master butcher Mike Pearce from Mike and Sarah’s family butchers – Whitburn street – Mike the butcher has also revived a 200 year old Bridgnorth recipe for our ‘old time banger’ sausage which features on our popular ‘Godfather Breakfast’ – We even source our fresh ground bottomless Coffee from Bridgnorth’s Caroline’s’ Coffee, and our Continental selections including fresh croissants, pastries and fresh breads are from Catherine’s bakery on the high street.” adding “with all this election talk and lobbying I think we are all ready for some ‘tips’ with a difference and judging by the conversations we hear at Peepo, people are pretty fed up with election fever and come here to escape for great fresh local breakfasts with their morning coffee.” adding “with Bridgnorth Rugby Club this weekend setting off down to Twickenham for a very important match, we thought we would create a homage by creating a rugby ball pizza carrying some of Caroline’s asparagus for good luck”.
